(WC= WadCutter, SWC= Semi-WadCutter, HP= Hollow Point, RN= Round Nose, FMC=
Full Metal Case, FMJ= Full Metal Jacket, JHP= Jacketed Hollow Point and if GC
indicated, means Gas Check at bottom of lead bullet)
Loads for 10 MM: (.400 dia. bullet) (case length .992″)
(Note: These are MAXIMUM loads, you should use 10% less to start.)
(See note on Powders below or read all about various
Powders.)
Due to different barrel lengths, type of bullet, seating depth, primer type
and other factors, you may not get near the FPS charted. It is just a guide
and the reason you should start under these charges and work up.

Discussion: Only one LEAD bullet is show above. If you want to use lead, pick
one of the jacketed bullets and deduct .5 to .8 grains for a guide. Universal,
Clays and HS6 are from Hodgdon and similar to Bullseye and Unique. HS6 is
slowest of the group (Similar to 2400) and takes quite a bit more powder.
Respectively are No.2 and No.5 from Accurate.
A bullet with a copper gas check or copper plating is best for INDOOR ranges
to keep lead vapors out of the air.

Dear Sirs:I have used your reloading data for too many years to even remember.
At the present I am venturing into a reloading dilemma with the 10mm.
I live in Montana, and have been around Grizzly bears and even had a bad encounter several years back and am ordering 200 gr hard cast bullets from Montana Bullet Works and trying to work up a load for it that is both accurate and deadly to the bear. The bullet has Hi teck coating so leading will not be a problem.
Do you have any recommendations?
In Alaska we live with bears
The Glock 20 is very popular here .
Suggest Underwood Ammo and their 200gr or 220gr Hardcast load for bear protection.
Remember on Bear with Hardcast bullets aim for head or Shoulder blade.
