Reloading The .41 Action Express

Bullet is .410″ diameter.

This round was developed by Evan Whildin several years before the .40 S&W. It was thought to function in guns that would chamber the 9mm. The case is the same size in the rear and will function with a barrel change in some 9mm autos. It is not nearly as powerful as the .41 magnum. It is not nearly as popular today, having been supplanted by the .40 S&W and the 10mm rounds.

Discussion: It made sense at the time (late 80’s) before the .40 S&W made the scene. If you have a gun chambered for this round, by all means shoot it and reload it.
